Gazprom Neft Shelf is the only oil company engaged in oil production on Russian Arctic shelf. Since 2014 it has been a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft PJSC.
Gazprom Neft Shelf holds the license to develop the Prirazlomnoye oil field located in the southeastern part of Barents Sea. The recoverable oil reserves amount to 79 million tons.
As of July 2022, 26 wells were drilled at the Prirazlomnoye field and more than 20 million tons ARCO (Arctic Oil) oil was produced.
