Scientific and Engineering Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SEC NRS) is the technical and scientific support organization of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service.
SEC NRS was established for technical and scientific support of state safety regulation in the field of atomic energy use, for conducting research, tests, safety reviews and (or) other types of safety assessments of nuclear facilities and activities in the field of atomic energy use, development and enhancement of legal framework in the field of atomic energy use, and implementation of other activities aimed at improvement of the state regulation of safety in the field of atomic energy use.
