Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Support Youth Initiatives
OMR 2026 Conference will feature a two-day Youth Session on the case study "Advanced technologies for developing fields on the Russian continental shelf. The future as seen by young people", organized by Gazprom VNIIGAZ and RESTEC Exhibition Company. Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is a partner of the event.
One hundred young specialists will develop solutions for offshore development under tight deadlines. The assignments have been prepared by Gazprom VNIIGAZ experts and will be evaluated by a committee of representatives from the Gazprom Group and leading industry organizations. Gennady Gavrilin from Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk will co-chair the session. The championship results will be announced on the final day of the session.
FYI: Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom, is the designated operator of the Kirinskoye block of the Sakhalin shelf (Sakhalin-3 project).
Development of the Kirinskoye block fields of the Sakhalin shelf is part of the Eastern Gas Program, which will make it possible to provide consumers of the Russian Far East with energy resources.
A distinctive feature of Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is that the development of reserves in the Kirinskoye gas condensate field for the first time on the Russian shelf is carried out using subsea gas production technologies without above-water facilities
